Terms of Service

Last updated: April 17, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Vexon Group LTD, a company registered in England & Wales and trading as "Passportbase" ("Passportbase", "we", "us", or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the Passportbase website at passportbase.com, our mobile applications, our application programming interfaces ("APIs"), and any related services, content, or features we provide (together, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Use of our APIs or paid plans is additionally governed by our API Terms and Acceptable Use Policy, which form part of these Terms when those Services are used.

1. About Passportbase

Passportbase is a brand and trading name of Vexon Group LTD. We publish visa, passport, and travel-mobility information intended to help travelers and businesses understand entry requirements, and we offer related tools, mobile applications, accounts, and API access.

Our legal and compliance contact is [email protected].

2. Eligibility and Accounts

The Services are available to users of all ages. Where local law imposes a minimum age for entering into contracts, creating an account, or providing personal data, you are responsible for complying with that law, and minors should use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Some features require you to register an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your credentials (including any API keys) confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use at [email protected].

3. The Services We Provide

We currently offer, or may offer in the future:

  • free public browsing of visa, passport, and mobility content on passportbase.com;
  • free registered user accounts with additional features;
  • paid consumer subscriptions;
  • paid API access for developers and businesses;
  • enterprise contracts with bespoke terms, SLAs, and support;
  • Passportbase mobile applications on supported platforms.

We may introduce, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. Paid features are governed by the pricing, plan, and order terms presented at purchase.

4. Informational Purpose — No Warranty of Accuracy

The Services provide general informational guidance only. Visa, passport, entry, transit, customs, duty-free, health, and related requirements change frequently, sometimes without notice, and differ based on nationality, residency, travel history, purpose of travel, port of entry, and the discretion of border officers.

Passportbase content is not legal, immigration, tax, medical, or travel advice and is not a substitute for checking official government sources and, where appropriate, consulting a qualified professional. You are solely responsible for verifying any requirement before you travel, book, or make a decision in reliance on the Services.

We make no representation or warranty that the content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose, and we accept no responsibility or liability for decisions made in reliance on it.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Services you agree that you will not:

  • violate any law, regulation, or third-party right;
  • scrape, crawl, bulk download, mirror, or otherwise extract content from the Services except through interfaces we expressly provide for that purpose and subject to their terms;
  • attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services, or bypass any security, rate limit, authentication, or access control;
  • interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Services, or use them to send unsolicited messages, malware, or harmful code;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code or underlying data structures from the Services, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the Services to deceive, defraud, harass, or harm others.

Additional rules for API use are set out in our API Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.

6. No Resale, Redistribution, or Derived Datasets

Except where we grant you an express written licence to do so (for example in an enterprise order), you must not, and must not permit any third party to:

  • resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise commercialize the Services or their content;
  • redistribute, republish, broadcast, or make available the Services or substantial portions of their content to third parties;
  • use the Services or their content to build, train, enrich, or benchmark a competing product, dataset, model, or service;
  • scrape, compile, cache, or otherwise accumulate the Services' content in order to create a derived dataset, database, or data product that is distributed, sold, or licensed.

End users of paid products may view and use content for their own personal or internal business use consistent with these Terms and any applicable plan limits.

7. Intellectual Property

The Services, including all software, text, graphics, logos, compilations, structure, and other content (other than your content), are owned by Vexon Group LTD or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for their intended purpose.

"Passportbase", the Passportbase logo, and related marks are trademarks of Vexon Group LTD. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

If you submit feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them without restriction or compensation.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Services (for example API key labels, saved lists, or support messages). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this licence and that your content does not violate these Terms or any law.

9. Fees, Subscriptions, and API Plans

Paid Services are billed in accordance with the plan you select. Unless stated otherwise, fees are quoted exclusive of applicable taxes, are non-refundable except where required by law, and recurring subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

We may change pricing or plan features on notice. If you do not accept a change, your remedy is to cancel before the change takes effect. Late payment may result in suspension or termination of paid access.

10. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, apps, app stores, or services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

11. Mobile Applications

If you download a Passportbase mobile app, your use is also subject to the rules of the app store from which you obtained it. You may not use the app in a way that breaches those store rules or these Terms. We may push updates, bug fixes, and new features from time to time.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, availability, or uninterrupted operation.

We do not warrant that travel will be permitted, that a visa will be granted, that an entry requirement will remain unchanged, or that any outcome will follow from information provided by the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of England & Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vexon Group LTD, its affiliates, and their directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or travel costs, however caused, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services.

Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Services giving rise to the claim in that period, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (£100).

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vexon Group LTD and its affiliates from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your breach of these Terms, your content, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, pose a security or legal risk, or to comply with law. You may stop using the Services at any time and close your account.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 4, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 17, and 18) will survive.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the laws of England & Wales.

The courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute, except that nothing prevents consumers from bringing proceedings in the courts of their country of residence where required by local law.

18. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, API Terms, Acceptable Use Policy, and any order form you sign with us, are the entire agreement between you and Passportbase regarding the Services. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
